Q: 4. Deliver documents to our university

Once your application is granted the status: "Qualified for admission", the final step of the admission application is to deliver your original application documents to the Maritime University of Szczecin. You will be given precise information from us about the date by which the documents should arrive at our University. In addition to submitting the originals of all documents previously attached as scans, you will be required to provide 2 pieces of your photograph and produce your passport. Logistic

The Logistics Master’s programme provides advanced knowledge of modern concepts, theories, and techniques related to logistics, transport, and integrated supply chain management — in both traditional and offshore contexts. The curriculum is tailored to meet the current demands of the job market, with a particular focus on the maritime sector, renewable energy, and intermodal transport. Students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical competencies needed to work effectively in dynamic, international environments.

Duration of studies:

The program lasts for 1.5 years (3 semesters).

Graduate profile:

Graduates are equipped to work in logistics, transport, shipping, offshore, and R&D sectors. They develop leadership skills, the ability to identify and solve economic challenges, and implement innovative technological solutions. They are fluent in a foreign language at a professional level and understand technology transfer processes. Graduates are also capable of organising and managing research and development (R&D) projects effectively.

Entry requirements

Meeting the following basic criteria is obligatory for all applicants:

holding a previous education certificate/diploma giving the candidate a right to apply for admission to a selected cycle of higher education:

upper secondary school leaving certificate – giving its holder a right to apply for admission to undergraduate higher education programmes in the country in which he or she completed their secondary school or which may give the holder such right in Poland on the basis of an administrative decision or an international agreement, or
undergraduate diploma granting access to graduate higher education programmes in the country in which its holder completed his/her education.

submitting all necessary application documents including:

a document confirming the fluency in English at B2 level (for programmes delivered in English) or a document confirming the fluency in Polish at B2 level (for programmes delivered in Polish).
In case of candidates applying to sea-going degree programmes, a Medical Certificate for Service at Sea/ Medical Fitness Certificate for Seafarers compliant with STCW and MLC 2006.

3. Entrance examination and recognition of your credentials

If you are applying for admission to a Bachelor’s degree programme and you completed your secondary education in a country other than a member state of the European Union, OECD, EFTA, Ukraine, China your admission will only be possible if you meet all of the following conditions:

1. all the required application documents have been submitted
2. a document certifying your proficiency of the language of instruction at B2 level: Polish or English has been submitted
3. you have successfully passed ENTRANCE EXAM to our university
4. your secondary education qualification has been formally recognised by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange in Warsaw (more information HERE)

Language requirements

To study in the Maritime University of Szczecin you are required to know Polish or English language at B2 level (for programmes with Polish or English language as the language of instruction respectively).

Disclaimer: the above lists are based on the draft Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 9 May 2025 on the types of documents certifying proficiency in the language of instruction. The Regulation is expected to be passed by 18 JULY 2025. Until then, the Maritime University of Szczecin is not in a position to provide definite information on which language documents can be taken into account in the 2025/2026 admissions process and cannot be held accountable for any changes thereof.

Studying in English language

Currently, Maritime University of Szczecin delivers only few degree courses in English language (they are highlighted in the above PDF file). Please, pay attention to the fact that the price for EU citizens and holders of the Polish Card is greatly reduced as they are treated equally with Polish citizens. Foreigners from outside the European Union who are not holders of the Polish Card have to pay the full tuition fee.

Additional costs for students of the seagoing programs

Students of Navigation, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Inland Shipping have to pay extra for International Medical Certificate for service at Sea: approx. PLN 400 (approx. EUR 90) which is valid for 1 or 2 years depending on the doctor’s decision, and for the Seaman’s registration book: EUR 50 which is a one-time fee. These fees are paid in external institutions, i.e. a medical clinic and the Maritime Office in Szczecin.
