How to get here?

By plane

Szczecin is located near 3 international airports: From the airports in Goleniów and Berlin, it is possible to get to Szczecin by a minibus (the cost is about PLN 15 from Goleniów and about PLN 80 from Berlin). Below there are example transport companies, offering minibus transport services: From the airports in Goleniów and Poznań, it is also possible to get to Szczecin by train. Check the train timetable for PORT LOTNICZY GOLENIÓW station and POZNAŃ WOLA station. From the airport in Goleniów, it is also possible to travel by taxi(see information below).

By train

If you are planning to travel to Szczecin by train, get off at SZCZECIN GŁÓWNY station. From the railway station to the University, you can get by public transport or by taxi (a walk along the boulevard by the Odra River takes about 30 minutes).

From the railway station to the University:

CITY TRANSPORT
  • To get from SZCZECIN GŁÓWNY railway station to the Maritime University, you have to take tram number 6, which goes north along the Odra River towards GOCŁAW. Get off at WAŁY CHROBREGO tram stop, which is located about 600 metres from the dormitories and 350 metres from the main University building. The trip takes about 6 minutes.
  • At SZCZECIN GŁÓWNY railway station, you can also take bus number 70, which goes towards URZĄD MIASTA. Get off at URZĄD WOJEWÓDZKI bus stop, which is located about 350 metres from the dormitories and 200 metres from the main University building. The trip takes about 9 minutes.
It is important to know that a public transport ticket may be bought from a tram or bus driver only at weekends or on working days from 18:00 to 6:00. It is necessary to pay the exact amount (the driver does not give change). In some buses of line 70, there are ticket machines. The price of a 15-minute ticket is PLN 2 (PLN 1 for a student ticket).

The nearest large public transport hub is in Rodła Square, about 800 meters from the University. From there, you can get by buses and trams to almost any place in Szczecin. Detailed information about city transport timetables is available on the website of Municipal Roads and Transport Management.

By car

If you are planning to come to Szczecin in your own car, you have to remember that the university building and the dormitories are located in the city centre within the Paid Parking Zone. The zone is divided into part A (more expensive - red) and B (cheaper - yellow). The dormitories are located in zone B. It is possible to buy a monthly or annual ticket or pay each time in a parking machine or use mobile payments.
