Maritime University of Szczecin (Poland) is a state university established 75 years ago. There are approx. 2750 students in our university – 15% of them are foreigners and they represent 20 countries.
All our seagoing programmes are 100% compliant with STCW (The International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers). On graduation and having completed 12 months of sea-time you will receive the Officer of the Watch or Engineer Officer of the Watch rank.
Programmes delivered in English
Navigation (BSc) sea-going
- Duration: 4 years
- Application period: from May 15 to July 18, 2023
- Tuition fee per year: PLN 20,400 (ca. EUR 4,533) for non EU citizens and PLN 3800 (ca. EUR 844) for EU citizens
Mechanical Engineering (BSc) sea-going
- Duration: 4 years
- Application period: from May 15 to July 18, 2023
- Tuition fee per year: PLN 19,800 (ca. EUR 4,400) for non EU citizens and PLN 3800 (ca. EUR 844) for EU citizens
Mechanical Engineering (MSc) non sea-going
- Duration: 1,5 years
- Application period: from May 15 to September 1, 2023
- Tuition fee per year: PLN 13,500 (ca. EUR 3,000) for non EU citizens and PLN 3800 (ca. EUR 844) for EU citizens
Transport (MSc) non sea-going
- Duration: 1,5 years
- Application period: opened to February 23, 2024
- Tuition fee per year: PLN 12,600 (ca. EUR 2,800) for non EU citizens and PLN 3000 (ca. EUR 667) for EU citizens
Student Accommodation
A room in the dormitory is guaranteed for all foreigners (subject to availability). The total capacity of the dormitories is 894 students. There are 33 single rooms, 192 double rooms and 159 triple rooms.Monthly price for each room type:.

Our application procedure for programmes delivered in English language is very simple:- In the first step you must check what documents are required from candidates. To do so, please visit our website: answer 6 simple questions and get your tailor-made list of required documents.
- In the second step you will have to complete the online application form in our recruitment system.
- In the last step you will have to pay the admission fee of PLN 85 = approx. EUR 18.
